Lancaster, CA — November 13th, 2024 — Race Communications, California’s leading Fiber Internet Service Provider, proudly announces their participation in the City of Lancaster’s 4th Annual Turkey Giveaway.
The event is this Saturday, November 15th, at 10 a.m. and will distribute 1,500 turkeys in a drive through style event. The drive-up line starts at Trevor and Nugent. Turkeys will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
“Race is all about putting community first, not just in the services we provide, but in the way we directly support the communities we operate in. You would never see a company like Spectrum or Frontier supporting an entire town at a grass roots level like this,” John Blizzard, Events Manager for Race Communications said. “This is our 2nd year assisting the City of Lancaster in supporting this event and we are thrilled to provide not only financial support, but also a team of friendly and dedicated Race employees to assist in the distribution.”
Last year the event provided turkeys to more than 10,000 families and the need is greater this year with grocery costs continuing to rise. Many families face difficult choices between paying bills and putting a holiday meal on the table. The annual distribution has become a cornerstone of Lancaster’s holiday season, bringing the community together in a shared spirit of generosity.

A reminder that all turkeys are distributed on a first come, first serve basis, while supplies last. Walk-ups are not permitted, limited to 1 per vehicle, and a valid ID must be presented to claim.
